A long chat at the door about art and photography and then a rambling twenty minutes with an elderly lady who started the chat counting her half a dozen blessings and ended with a warning to look out for men stealing babies from prams.

A life of gaiety as a wealthy young woman turned crap by addiction. Plenty of bible and bitterness. I think she just needed someone to talk to.

She said her handbag had just been stolen. Maybe she wanted money.

The young chinese photographer takes secret snaps through people windows and catches rather beautiful random moments. I suggested she be braver.

She also takes pictures of doormen and I am glad to be in her collection.
